The VSSD Java Shopping Cart Free version is the most affordable way to open Store Front on the Internet.
You don't need any special server software to run it. It uses regular *email server, *FTP server, and HTTP server to do its processing. What that means is that you can even run this cart from your Internet Service Provider account if you have a few megs of disk space that usually comes with ISP account. The orders will come to you via email or you might have to check the Order directory via FTP and download your orders. Anyway you choose it is a simple and secure process. All orders are encrypted via variation of One Time Pad encryption method (OTP). It is very simple but power encryption technique. The true OTP encryption is unbreakable and is used by US Military.

*Some providers have restricted FTP that doesn't support all FTP commands like PASV, for example. The FTP server MUST run on the same computer as web server otherwise you will get Java security error. The email server also must run on the same computer.
Your customers will benefit from Java's interactive user friendly interface. They can browse items and place them into the shopping cart. The items can be changed or completely removed from the shopping cart at any time. When a customer is ready to check out he clicks on the checkout button and fills out the forms. The Order will be emailed to the merchant with SMTP method. Very simple process.
